This 130,000 sq. ft. facility houses state-of-the-art computing and multimedia learning spaces features a 7000 sq. ft. open computer laboratory enabling individual and collaborative group work, using desktop and mobile computers.

Multifunctional experimental areas, a suite of video editing bays, a cluster of student workrooms and seminar/focus rooms, a multimedia development room and a graphics workroom add further dimension.

Some computer modules allow as many as four students to utilize a single large screen display and collaborate on multifaceted solutions for a project. Supplemented with five-sided informal seating spaces, workspace wraps around a pentagonal table and allow multiple access to network connections.

Also part of this project is a new campus network head-end including training facilities for staff and faculty, a 350-seat auditorium with state-of-the-art multimedia systems, and a new boardroom for the Kentucky Board of Regents equipped for teleconferencing, videoconferencing, multimedia projection and press conference output.
