Because of the mandate for public participation in
meetings and hearings, this flexible-use space
needed to support press conferences, private staff
meetings and public assembly through full multimedia presentation systems. Furthermore, to maximize use, the ability to subdivide the area into two fully-functional, acoustically isolated meeting rooms was key.

By using a specially designed motorized wall, the room can be subdivided to support simultaneous events while assuring privacy. In its largest configuration the boardroom is capable of multimedia presentation using a distributed video network, comprised of projection monitors and computer displays. When divided, each space is capable of multimedia presentation using the same distributed video network.

Video and audio from any of the source devices is supported through the video display units. Multiscan monitors display all presentation materials to the audience, while small, sleek flat-screen computer displays allow board members the same media access.

The infrastructure was conceived with a future-proof perspective, supporting subsequent upgrades to add specific motion sensing, face recognition and behavior recognition capabilities.
