The provider of mobile production
facilities to CBS, Fox, ABC and
ESPN for some of the world’s most-
watched televised events such as
Monday Night Football, the PGA
and the Super Bowl, recently unveiled
a new $10 million digital video
production truck.

Even though design and integration
was otherwise handled in-house,
NMT sought out The Sextant Group
to contribute its extensive experience in designing a variety of broadcast production facilities to the project.

The unusually problematic environment coupled with tight workspace and weight tolerances required uncommon solutions. A futuristic production console was designed to handle the significant technical demands of digital broadcasting. This design also addressed the additional need of being able to collapse the entire studio in a matter of minutes.

Special furnishing treatments were designed, including the custom-cut plate aluminum for the digital production console, and a series of modular stackable racks for an elaborate tape control monitor array. All carpet, flooring, ceiling and wall finishes were strategically selected to create a showcase facility that is also supremely efficient and functional.
