Mitsubishi Electric recently
constructed a new facility that includes a
number of spaces that are enhanced with
audiovisual technologies. These systems
provide varied levels of complexity and
functionality, including multimedia presentation, video and audio conferencing, informal display, and speech reinforcement.

Included in one of the six spaces is the board room, which accommodates approximately 14 participants seated around a standard conference table. An LCD projector provides large screen displays of video and computer sources to the screen. Two conference rooms function both as a video conferencing suite as well as a classroom with multimedia presentation capability. Other spaces throughout the facility include a reception/atrium area equipped for the informal presentation if informational program material and an onsite cafeteria.

Audio conferencing in the varied spaces is made available through the use of a self-contained audio conferencing unit. A portable “speaker phone” style unit will include satellite microphones to properly cover the conference tables.
