THE MEDICAL UNIVERSITY OF OHIO
"The Center for Classrooms
of the Future"
Toledo OH
Digital technology is revolutionizing both practice and
education in medicine and the health sciences. In 1995 The Medical University
of Ohio recognized that it needed to bring together faculty, researchers,
students, and practitioners in a new environment that would enable them to
utilize technology more effectively to support learning outcomes. The Sextant
Group assisted the college in realizing its vision for technology-infused
teaching, learning, and assessment through the development of the "Digitally
Integrated Learning Environment," a holistic plan for space and technology
in the context of a problem-based curriculum. Formerly The Medical College of Ohio.
The MCO/Mercy Center for Creative Education "Classrooms of
the Future" opened fall 2003.
