MAJOR MEDICAL SOFTWARE DEVELOPER
(name withheld by request of client)
The information technology demands for this medical software developer
would dwarf most corporate or educational institutions,
with nearly two miles of outside plant cabling, 28 miles of backbone cabling, and a
remarkable 323 miles of CAT6 cable in its internal network.
The Sextant Group was responsible for planning, programming development and engineering of
all technology infrastructure, including information, telecommunication
and data.
Spaces range from a complete data center to specialized electronic research and
testing labs, to sophisticated instructional facilities rivaling entire universities.
Design functions also encompass security and surveillance, addressable zone paging and
sound masking for speech privacy. A network of 6 interconnected buildings
encompass 67 conference rooms, all fully-equipped with collaborative and
primary displays, plus 15 training classrooms outfitted with complete multimedia capabilities,
and a 1500-seat auditorium designed for full corporate theatre production.
In another ambitious space that has been compared to the
floor of a "high-tech US Congress," The Council Room was created for collaborative
visioning sessions involving up to 150 clients simultaneously, supporting product
development for the next generation of software.
