Arts Complex Feasibility Study

The Sextant Group worked with the architect to
evaluate existing space utilization and affinities
for a proposed arts complex. This complex is
to serve as a “technology hub” for teaching,
performance, research and curriculum
development. The team developed specific
strategies for the construction, improvement,
and re-organization of facilities to maximize the
shared benefits of technology.

Components included a college-wide networked system to access multimedia libraries, new performance-oriented classrooms, electronic dance notation and music production, advanced computer graphics studios, and a multimedia training and courseware development facility. The College of the Arts required assistance in developing a comprehensive plan to fulfill its vision to meet these emerging needs through the application of new technologies.
