STALIN VERA INCE
ACOUSTICAL CONSULTANT
Stalin Vera comes to The Sextant Group already accomplished in both EASE Acoustical Simulator and all aspects of AutoCAD.
Vera’s experience includes applying both theoretical and applied acoustic principals as part of a hands-on internship at a nationally recognized acoustical and vibration consultant firm. During this time he assisted in the analysis of noise and vibration activity at a research laboratory located in Rockefeller University as well as the creation of a 3D model of the Georgia Aquarium to predict and evaluate acoustical options. Additional experience includes a modal analysis of wood finishes for Taylor Guitars’ high-end professional acoustic guitars crafted by Bob Taylor, and a sound transmission / HVAC noise reduction for the black box theater and dance studios at Trinity College in West Hartford, Connecticut.
A published author, Stalin contributed to the article Microwave Processing of Polymeric Coatings for Guitar Woods which appeared in Virginia Tech’s Journal of Undergraduate Materials Research 2009;4. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree in Acoustical Engineering & Music (Classical Guitar Performance) from the University of Hartford, where he also minored in Mathematics and graduated Summa Cum Laude. He is a member of the Institute of Noise Control Engineering (INCE). Born in Ecuador, Vera moved to the United States during his adolescence, and is fluent reading, writing and speaking Spanish.
