CRAIG PARK FSMPS, ASSOC. AIA
PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT
With over 30 years in the building industry, Craig Park is an award-winning and nationally-recognized thought leader on audiovisual technology applications for the design of collaborative environments. He is as well-known in architectural circles as he is throughout the audiovisual industry. His experience includes consulting roles on over 400 projects coordinating with over 150 architects and designers for projects in the higher education, healthcare, technology, institutional and corporate environments, nationally and internationally. Craig has served on the national board of directors of InfoComm International and currently serves on the association's Leadership Development Council. He is an associate member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). Craig is also a member of the Construction Writers Association (CWA), the National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA), and a Fellow, Past National President, and Distinguished Life Member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS).
Craig's awards include Educator 2000 from the NSCA, the national SMPS Marketing Achievement Award, and the SMPS San Francisco Chapter's William Hankinson Award for Lifetime Achievement. He is a twice a recipient of InfoComm International's award for Distinguished Achievement in Systems & Facilities Design. His technical design for the Executive Education Classroom at the Walter B. Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley received the 2004 Grand Prize for Classroom Design by Presentation magazine.
A well-published author, Craig authored the professional service and organizational development book, Design. Market. Grow!: Building an Enduring Practice Through Expertise, Excellence and Experience, which is mandatory reading requirement for SMPS Certification program. Craig's writings on marketing, management, and technology are regularly features for national publications. He was also a contributing author to the 2nd and 3rd editions of the Marketing Handbook for Design and Construction Professionals. Craig is the author of, or featured in, more than 160 articles on issues of marketing, management and technology applications.
Craig is a graduate of California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, where he received a B.S. in Architecture. He also completed post-graduate certification programs in Microprocessor Technology at New York University and in Leadership at the Advanced Management Institute in San Francisco. Park is a regular speaker on technology applications at local, regional, and national building industry programs. Craig heads the Omaha office.
