MARTY KNIZNER
SENIOR CONSULTANT
Marty has over 20 years in the multimedia and
telecommunications industries, during which he
acquired expertise in systems analysis and design,
large switching systems, voice and data networks,
high-speed data networks, product and service
planning, and technical support of numerous
products. He has recently managed projects as
large as $132 million, including large-scale university
academic, administration and residence installations for the California State University system, and a 6-building corporate
campus for a major Midwestern US medical software developer.
Marty is currently overseeing design, engineering, and construction management of
AV, IT and security technology systems and infrastructure for the University of
California-Davis Health Sciences Library and Medical Education Building, the design
of an integrated information organization and infrastructure with telecommunications,
data communications and media communications for Santa Clara University’s “Library of
the 21st Century,” the new Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara, and the Arizona
State University’s Biodesign Institute. Currently in design, the AzBio project
encompasses laboratories, core support facilities and office space that will bridge
industry, government and academia to foster research in areas of Information Technology,
biotechnology, material science and the environment.
Additional experience also includes IT and security surveillance system design and
specification for The University of The Pacific, total network design and implementation
for a consortium of California’s central valley education entities that created a
distance-learning network to reach remote communities, and the design of a new
university commons with campus network integration for the University of California,
Riverside.
Knizner's combination of a strong technical background
and past experience in a productivity and planning role has reinforced his ability
to plan and execute complex projects. He is schooled in the YCA "Project Success"
methodology which strives for consistent results, clearly defined project plans,
successful cost controls, and customer satisfaction that creates a best-in-class
performance. A graduate of Penn Technical Institute in Pittsburgh
PA where he majored in Electronics Engineering, Knizner is a member of Building and
Industry Consulting Services International (BICSI).
