KEN GRAVEN PE, CTS, RCDD, LEED AP
PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT

An accomplished audiovisual industry leader, Ken has successfully led technology, audiovisual and information technologies teams on a full range of projects. Throughout his twenty-two year career he has consulted on over five hundred building projects.

Ken is particularly adept in creating "user friendly" systems that leverage full advantage of current technology. A LEED Accredited Professional, he is a champion of sustainable design concepts for audiovisual systems. Previously Director of the Technology Group, Vice President, and Member of the Executive Leadership Team for a well-respected Bay Area acoustical design firm, his personal project experience includes technology and/or acoustic design for spaces and systems ranging from biomedical, health science research and medical education simulation, to campus libraries, moot courtrooms, academic broadcast studios, conference centers and other media-rich spaces, from Salt Lake City to Honolulu. Clients span higher education, government, corporate, performing arts and hospitality. One hospitality project Ken is particularly proud of has been hailed as the "best jazz club in world" by trumpeter legend Arturo Sandoval.

Affiliations include the Acoustical Society of America, Audio Engineering Society, and the International Communications Industries Association. He holds a BS degree in Electronic Engineering Technology with a minor in music from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. In addition to his LEED AP credentials, Ken is a Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) by InfoComm International, a Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) by the Building and Industry Consulting Services International (BICSI), and is a professional engineer registered in the State of California.

Also a musician, songwriter and award-winning music producer, Ken starting playing saxophone when he was 10 years old, and soon picked up a guitar, eventually supporting himself through college as a jazz musician. His songwriting and production skills have resulted in numerous awards for compositions submitted in the Garageband.com charts with fellow performer and musician Tom Babbit. In addition to his alt-folk collaboration with Mr. Babbitt, Ken is currently in the rock band The Mixers, who regularly perform songs from the GravenBabbitt songbook.
