MARK GILLIS CTS-D
PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT

For over 25 years Mark has been involved in the media systems industry as sound mixer, media systems designer, systems contractor, technical director and operations manager. Mark has significant experience in the design and integration of sophisticated audio and lighting systems for projects such as "Disney on Ice," and nine years as Director of Audio Production for Ringling Bros. Barnum and Bailey's Circus worldwide.

Recent Gillis projects include Penn State University's recently-opened baseball stadium Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, a sophisticated multipoint videoconferencing and distance learning systems for Syracuse University, a high-tech boardroom for the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System, and an award winning classroom building for Bowling Green State University Cedar Point Center at Firelands College. Mark has managed projects for Harvard School of Business, The Reading Hospital & Medical Center, boardroom expansions for law firms in Ohio and West Virginia, and a series of facilities including a Market Operations Center, a Network and Security Operations Center, and corporate training facilties for FreeMarkets, Inc. Pittsburgh headquarters and offices in Detroit, San Jose, Brussels, and Hong Kong.

Currently Mark is Project Manager for the 64,000 SF August Wilson Center for African American Culture, the 1,600-seat historic Samuel Clemens Performing Arts Center in Elmira NY, and the $26M Lorton Workhouse Arts Center near Washington DC.

Prior to his commitment to a career in multimedia systems, Mark studied architecture at the University of Arizona in Tucson. He is a Certified Technology Specialist-Design (CTS-D) as awarded by the InfoComm International.
