TERRY CAYWOOD CPSM
DIRECTOR OF MARKETING
Terry Caywood has built a career immersed in technology-rich environments and highly-mediated spaces. He brings a diverse background that encompasses three decades of promotion, marketing, research, product management, and business development.
Experience spans broadcast radio and television (including on-air for powerhouse rocker WDVE-FM, marketing the Steelers' flagship radio station, leading the promotional launch team for the Fox Network in Pittsburgh, and programming a regional chain of northeast and midwest independent TV stations and network affiliates), plus live event staging and corporate video production for clients from US Steel and PPG to Children's Hospital and the Pittsburgh Zoo. Prior to joining The Sextant Group in 2003, Terry was also an adjunct professor in the Communications Department at Robert Morris University -- ironically, in classrooms with systems designed by The Sextant Group.
Currently on the board of directors for the Pittsburgh chapter of the Society of Marketing Professional Services (SMPS), Terry is past chapter president. He is a founding committee member of the SMPS Heartland Regional Conference and has served on national committees for SMPS Marketing Communications Awards, Striving for Excellence Awards, and as a submission reviewer for the 2011 Build Business Conference.
A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University with a BS in Mathematics and Creative Writing, Caywood holds an MBA from Duquesne University. He has been a Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) since 2006, and a 2010 recipient of an SMPS Marketing Communications Award.
