consulting firm The Sextant Group, the leading national audiovisual and information technologies, security, acoustics and lighting firm, announces the move into a new corporate headquarters at 700 Waterfront Drive, Suite 200, Pittsburgh PA 15222.

The new headquarters offers the expanding company’s employees an optimum working environment to collaborate with and support project teams distributed across over a dozen sites throughout the US.  The rapidly growing technology consulting firm will occupy 10,000 square feet of space in their new location. 

“We’re tremendously excited about our substantial growth over the past several years,” says CEO Mark Valenti of The Sextant Group, citing over 2000 completed or currently active projects.  “This move marks a key development in The Sextant Group’s evolution. Our new headquarters will enable us to serve our clients better, continue our growth across all disciplines, and with a significant technology upgrade, facilitate richer interaction among employees company-wide.  The new location in a modern facility on historic Washington’s Landing carries a rich heritage and helps us maintain strong ties to our roots,” says Valenti, who founded the company in 1995.

The Sextant Group supports architects, interior designers, owners and facilities planners as technology adviser and consultant.  At the forefront of the integrated and intelligent building marketplace, The Sextant Group’s relocation to a new headquarters is yet another indication of the company’s strategic growth and highlights its commitment to employees. In 2011 alone, the firm added a San Francisco office and expanded staff significantly, a quarter of these new hires occurring in the Pittsburgh office.

“Our new location is just minutes away from our former location,” comments Valenti.  “Our main focus in selecting this site was to minimize disruption and maintain commute time for our loyal and highly talented employees,” he said.

To make the transition into the new office space, The Sextant Group’s corporate headquarters will be closed Dec 24 thru Jan 2. Regional offices will all be open and functional that week.

The firm has a total of eight offices which include Atlanta, New York, Omaha, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, Santa Barbara and Washington DC.
