SOCIETY FOR MARKETING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES HONORS THE SEXTANT GROUP WITH MARKETING COMMUNICATION AWARD
The Sextant Group was honored with a 2010 Marketing Communication Award by the Society of Marketing Professional Services (SMPS). The third-place award-winning holiday card features an extensive list of company clients, partners and friends laid out graphically in such a way that the multicolored text becomes a pointillistic picture of Santa's most famous reindeer with a wide smile and an unusually emerald-colored glowing nose. The headline reads, "Rudolph Swaps Red for Green, Becomes Santa's LEEDŽ Reindeer."
Awards were presented at the SMPS National Build Business conference in Boston, July 15, 2010. "The entries this year were an incredible display of the expertise of talented marketing professionals working at A/E/C firms today, " says MCA Program Chair Melissa M. Lutz FSMPS, CPSM, Principal/Marketing Director, Champlin Architecture, Cincinnati OH. Spanning 20 categories, the awards competition is one of SMPS' premier events, drawing nearly 200 entries this year.
The digital card was distributed to key clients, partners and friends of The Sextant Group throughout North America, and can be viewed at www.TheSextantGroup.com/hohoho09.pdf. "We're pleased to have been honored the very first time we submitted," says Terry Caywood, Director of Marketing for The Sextant Group. "And knowing that this category regularly receives among the more entries makes it all the sweeter."
After being displayed at Build Business, winning entries are displayed at SMPS events around the country to help educate members and the industry about innovative approaches and marketing trends.
