TECH CONSULTANTS BRIAN PATRICK, MARK GILLIS PROMOTED TO PRINCIPALS AT THE SEXTANT GROUP, INC.
JUNE 3, 2008 PITTSBURGH PA –
In a move that further supports continued growth for The Sextant Group, Inc., President and CEO Mark S. Valenti announced additional corporate restructuring that
includes the promotion of two project managers to principal.
Brian Patrick CTS-D combines a degree in applied physics from Georgia Institute of Technology
with considerable practical experience in strategic technology planning and design. Joining the company in
2004, areas of expertise include integrated AV / IT systems, structured cabling, physical security,
classroom design, and advanced control systems for public and private higher education, healthcare, corporate, government, institutional, performing arts, worship,
broadcast, and sports and recreation applications. Brian will head up The Sextant Group’s Atlanta office, directing operations in the Southeastern US.
Mark Gillis CTS-D has significant project management and consulting experience
(8 years of it with The Sextant Group). Demonstrating success with complex educational, medical, corporate and sports projects, he brings considerable acumen for
large venue and performance facilities. Credentials include
architectural studies at the University of Arizona, Tucson, plus over 20 years in the media systems industry as operations manager, systems contractor,
technical director, and systems engineer, amassing notable hands-on experience installing and testing sound systems for some of the largest venues in North
America. Gillis is based in the Pittsburgh PA corporate headquarters.
In making the announcements, Valenti said, “The Sextant Group has come through a
