PAT PADOVAN, JOHN COOK PROMOTED TO
VP’s OF TECHNOLOGY CONSULTING FIRM
THE SEXTANT GROUP

MAY 20, 2008 PITTSBURGH PA – In a move to position The Sextant Group, Inc. for future growth, President and CEO Mark S. Valenti announced a corporate restructuring that includes the promotion of Pat Padovan and John Cook to the position of vice president.

Patrick M. Padovan CTS-D is appointed as new Vice President of Technical Services, overseeing all design and engineering for all corporate locations across the country. Joining the firm in 1996 shortly after its inception, Padovan has been fundamental in building the firm’s highly-regarded reputation for detail-oriented design and specification documents and drawings. As Technical Services VP and based in the firm’s Pittsburgh headquarters, Padovan has overseen a spectrum of visionary, cutting-edge and complex projects throughout North America.

John A. Cook CTS has been elevated to Vice President of Client Services, and will continue to be based in the firm’s Pittsburgh headquarters. Joining the firm in 2001, John has distinguished himself as an industry expert in audiovisual and information technologies and design. As a frequent speaker on technology in education, John has presented at numerous national and regional conferences and assemblies. He works with diverse education and corporate clients throughout the US and Canada.

In making the announcements, Valenti said, “This is a tactical move to support continued growth and opportunity for The Sextant Group. Pat and John have been instrumental in building the firm into what it is today, plus crafting a vision of the future and how we will get there. Their new and expanded responsibilities will be central in pursuing our next decade of growth.”
