AUDIOVISUAL DESIGN EXPERT DAVID SKOOG
NEW SENIOR CONSULTANT FOR THE SEXTANT GROUP

JUNE 18, 2007 PITTSBURGH PA – The Sextant Group, a nationally recognized, independent consulting and design firm specializing in audiovisual technologies, information technologies and acoustics, announces the addition of David Skoog CTS as Senior Consultant. A current resident of Camarillo CA, Skoog will be associated with and operating as a satellite to the firm’s Western Regional office in Phoenix AZ.

David brings over 18 years experience as an audiovisual consultant, accomplished in all facets of electronic media technology. He holds extensive credentials in presentation system design and implementation, including the integration of advanced audio, video, and control system technologies into highly designed and specialized architectural environments. His experience spans programming and schematic development as well as system design and site management during the technology integration phase. David’s recent background also includes independent consulting as well as serving as technical liaison to audiovisual consultants, colleges and universities throughout 14 western states and western Canada for Crestron Electronics, a major manufacturer of remote control and automation technologies.

Skoog is considered to be a national expert in the area of design for integrated video conferencing systems used by national and international corporations. In addition, he has designed and implemented technological solutions to satisfy the needs and requirements of over 60 federal courthouses nationwide, from Maine, Minnesota and Mississippi to San Diego CA. His background also includes numerous years as a sound and theatrical lighting designer for performance theatre, most notably on an international level as technical director and production manager.

David is an alumnus of North Central University of Minneapolis MN where he studied Mass Communications and specialized in audio & video production. He is a member of the Audio Engineering Society, is a presenter at professional conferences including InfoComm International, and has been credentialed as a Certified Technology Specialist (CTS).
