The Sextant Group, a nationally recognized, independent consulting and design firm specializing in audiovisual technologies, information technologies and acoustics, announces the addition of Scott Cameron Frey CTS, Systems Engineer, and Aaron Barber, Project Coordinator. Both are based in the firm’s Pittsburgh office.

Scott Frey brings nearly 15 years experience in audiovisual systems design and technical expertise. Formerly an Entertainment Special Events Technician for Universal Studios Orlando, he was involved in all tasks concerning operation and implementation of show systems for large-scale entertainment and corporate production. He has worked with academic institutions such as the University of Alabama, Duke, UNC Chapel Hill and NC State, while his corporate clients span the spectrum of American business, ranging from NASA, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, IBM, Sony, Fox, Nintendo, Audi, KPMG, Pfizer and Pepsi, down to the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz in Washington DC. Frey holds is a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music from Edinboro University, is a gifted guitar player, and on the weekends can be found on stage performing with various North Carolina-based rock bands.

Aaron Barber brings to The Sextant Group over a decade of experience in sound technology and graphic design. As Operations Manager of a local media production house, his previous project management duties included client relations and budgeting, web design, graphic/print design, and music editing. In addition, he ran many of the day-to-day operations for Alanna Records and Buythiscd.com. Barber holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano and Sound Recording Technology from Duquesne University.
