AUDIOVISUAL DESIGN SPECIALIST BRIAN PATRICK, CTS-D
EXPANDS THE SEXTANT GROUP’S REACH, SERVICE

The Sextant Group, a nationally recognized,
independent consulting and design firm specializing in audiovisual
technologies, information technologies and acoustics, announces the
hiring of Brian Patrick, CTS-D as Senior Consultant to open the firm’s
new Atlanta office.
The opening of this new office offers architects and engineers in the Southeast
dramatically improved access and better services from one of the nation’s top
firms providing AV & IT design & specification, acoustics consulting and strategic
technology planning & program development. Mr. Patrick brings demonstrated
accomplishment in project management, technical systems design, audiovisual
integration, and acoustics. He specializes in custom, purpose-built presentation
spaces and facilities, including distance learning classrooms, network
operations centers, multimedia theaters, and executive briefing facilities.
Brian is familiar to many in the technology consulting industry and the region
from his years of experience with other top AV, Communications/Networking
and Security Systems consulting firms. He has excelled in AV/IT integration,
designing structured cabling, physical security, advanced
control systems, and audiovisual networks, with substantial
experience in education, medical, corporate, government,
institutional, performing arts, worship, broadcast, and
sports & recreation projects. Professional credentials
achieved include International Communications Industries
Association’s Certified Technology Specialist – Design
(CTS-D) and Certified Broadcast Networking Technologies
(CBNT) from the Society of Broadcast Engineers.
Brian is also active in the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers,
Illuminating Engineering Society of North America, National Systems Contractors
Association, Society for Information Display and the Audio Engineering Society.
He has served as judge for the Archi-Tech Magazine Design Awards, has been a
featured speaker for the Society for College and University Planning, and has
written for numerous trade publications, including Information Display, ProAV, and
Technologies For Worship, and has projects published in Sound & Video Contractor.
He holds a BS in Applied Physics with an emphasis in Acoustics, Electronics and
Computer-Based Instrumentation from Atlanta’s Georgia Institute of Technology.
